Phone data recovery Toronto
Modern phone data is encrypted. Recovery often means restoring enough original device function to unlock and extract photos, messages, contacts, videos, and app data.

Phone failure types
Phone recovery is often board-level work. If the phone will not power on, was liquid damaged, or is stuck in a boot loop, the goal is to restore enough function for a secure data extraction.
Unlike many older storage devices, modern iPhone and Android phones usually cannot be recovered by simply removing a memory chip and reading it elsewhere. The photos, messages, notes, contacts, app data, and files are protected by encryption tied to the original device hardware and the user unlock path.
That makes the diagnosis very different from ordinary phone repair. A cracked screen, damaged charging circuit, liquid-damaged board, shorted power rail, or failed connector may all block access to the same encrypted data. The lab goal is not to make the phone cosmetically perfect; it is to restore the minimum stable function needed to unlock, communicate with the device, and extract the data safely.
Corrosion, shorted rails, charging faults, display issues, and phones that stopped working after exposure.
Dead phones, impact damage, charging faults, and board-level problems that block access.
Phones that restart repeatedly, freeze during startup, or cannot reach the unlock screen.
Recovering data by restoring the original device path, not simply reading a memory chip.
Important
Power can accelerate corrosion and create new board damage. Bring the phone in as-is and explain what data matters most.
Liquid damage warning
Rice will not properly dry the internal board, connectors, shields, or trapped moisture under components. It can delay proper cleaning while corrosion and oxidation continue. If the device contains important data, bring it to the lab as quickly as possible.
Recovery expectations
Success depends on the condition of the logic board, CPU, storage, power system, encryption path, and whether the phone can be made stable enough to unlock. Some cases are straightforward board-level repairs; others require extensive microsoldering, corrosion treatment, connector repair, or careful power diagnosis.
Repeated charging, heating, freezer tricks, rice, and random parts swapping can make a recoverable phone less stable. The safest first action is to stop trying to power the phone and bring it in with the full story: liquid exposure, drop history, repair attempts, battery changes, screen replacements, and what data matters most.
Lab process
We inspect power, charging, liquid damage, display, connector, and boot symptoms.
Micro-soldering and board-level repair may restore enough function to unlock the device.
Photos, contacts, videos, messages, and files are extracted securely when access is restored.

Phone recovery FAQ
Sometimes. The recovery path depends on whether the original device can be made stable enough to unlock and extract data.
No. Rice does not properly dry internal components and can delay proper cleaning while corrosion continues.
For most modern encrypted phones, chip removal alone is not a practical data recovery path.
Yes. Phone recovery diagnostics are free before approved work begins.
